The UK Government has confirmed that its new ‘Register your rental property’ service will begin rolling out across England from 15 December 2026. Landlords of assured and regulated tenancies will be required to register themselves and each occupied rental property.
The rollout is regional. Firstly, Landlords in the West Midlands must register by 14 March 2027, with London rolling out in July 2027 and other English regions following through to November 2027. Registration will cost £65 per property each year.
